Keep in mind a completed application is the primary factor to acceptance and enrollment at NDAA. Every applicant will receive an email confirming NDAA’s receipt of the application.


Acceptance letters will be sent after the Admissions Committee's review of all applicants.

LA Gator Scholarship Program 

The Louisiana Giving All True Opportunity to Rise (LA GATOR) Scholarship Program is the state's inaugural education scholarship account (ESA) initiative, established by the 2024 Louisiana Legislature under Act 1 and signed into law by Governor Jeff Landry on June 19, 2024. This program empowers parents to tailor their children's education by providing flexible funding for various approved educational services.

Key Features of the LA GATOR Scholarship Program:

  • Educational Services Covered: Scholarship funds can be utilized for:

    • Nonpublic school tuition and fees
    • Tutoring and educational therapies
    • Textbooks and curricula
    • Dual enrollment courses
    • Uniforms
    • Transportation
  • Eligibility Criteria: To qualify for the scholarship, a student must be a Louisiana resident and meet one of the following conditions:

    • Participated in the Louisiana Scholarship Program during the previous school year
    • Entering kindergarten
    • Enrolled in a public school during the previous school year
    • Belong to a family with a total income at or below 250% of the federal poverty guidelines
  • Application Process: For the 2025-2026 school year, the application window is open from March 1 to April 15, 2025. Parents can apply through the official LA GATOR website. Required documents include proof of residency, income verification (if applicable), the child's birth certificate, and Social Security Numbers for both the parent and student.

  • Program Rollout: The LA GATOR Scholarship Program will commence in the 2025-2026 academic year, pending legislative appropriation. It will replace the existing Louisiana Scholarship Program, which will conclude on June 30, 2025. Current participants of the Louisiana Scholarship Program will receive priority access to the LA GATOR Scholarship Program but must submit an application by April 15, 2025.

  • Support and Resources: The Louisiana Department of Education has partnered with Odyssey to manage the program's application process and marketplace. Odyssey provides a help desk, call center, and virtual chat support to assist applicants. Parents can access resources, information, and frequently asked questions on both the LA GATOR and Odyssey websites.
